Gatton Country Fair

Gatton hosts an annual environmental country fair (previously known as Go Green at Gatton). It takes place on the first Sunday in July and has stalls and attractions from environmental, countryside and wildlife organisations. There are lots of activities for children and families and there is a chance to visit the wider parkland and gardens at Gatton.

The following gives an idea of some of the attractions and activities that were available at the event:

Music

Blue Sax and Redstone Community Big Band

Animals

Dog Show, Birds of Prey Displays provided by Henfold Birds, Southdowns Sheep, Beekeepers, working Newfoundland dogs

Local environmental organisations

Greenpeace, Surrey Wildlife Trust, Sustainable Redhill

Children's entertainment

Pony Rides, Tractor rides, Archery, Craft and wildlife stalls run by our own volunteers

Crafts

Bird box making, Weaving, Spinning, Pottery, Chainsaw carving.

Food stalls

Local ice cream dairy, local honey and barbecue.

Guided tours, golf buggy rides and our bird hide were open for visitors to enjoy in the wider parkland.


In 2012 the event will take place on Sunday 1st July from 12pm – 4pm. There is a charge of £4.50 for adults and children are free.
