We have lots of activities for children and families to learn and enjoy in Gatton Park. Why not bring your kids for some fun during the school holidays? Our Education staff lead all of the activities with special tutors for some courses.

Six specially designed parties for lots of birthday fun for up to fifteen children.

All activities must be booked in advance unless otherwise stated.


Prices are per child unless otherwise stated.

 

Children aged under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

Paint and Glue-Magic and Monsters (8-12 yrs)

 

Making magical creatures.

Start Art-On the Farm (4-7 years)

 

Use our tractors, horses, pigs and chickens as inspiration for some art work.

Planting seeds and gardening activities.

Start Art-Underwater (4-7 years)

 

Art activities for young children and their families about animals that live in water.

 

10-12 noon or 1.30-3.30pm. Cost: £6. (pre booking required).

Sunday 11 April

Fairy Tale Treasure Hunt

 

Discover fairy tale characters around the park as you hunt for treasure. In conjunction with Gatton Community Theatre.


1-4pm. Cost: £5 per child (adults free). Refreshments available to purchase.

Tie dying and making felt. Create a banner using your textiles.

WWII Drama workshop – become a child in the Second World War for a day. Led by a drama specialist and a WW2 re-enactor with artifacts.

Fun with Mud (4-7 years)

 

What lives in the soil, mud art, build a wormery.

Start Art-Haunted Houses (4-7 years)

 

Create your own haunted houses and spooky characters to live in it.

Sunday 5 December

Santa’s Grotto

 

Enjoy a golf buggy ride to Santa in his grotto, explore the grounds following a trail of clues and then return to Gatton Hall to make a Christmas party crown.

 

1-3pm £3.50 per child (adults
free). Tea and cake available to purchase.

Sat 11 December

Paint and Glue-Christmas (8-12 years)

 

Make it, paint it, stick it, draw it and then cover it in glitter!
